We recently visited Pizza Bakkers at their Zuidas location here in Amsterdam and had a somewhat mixed but generally decent experience. To start on a high note, the food itself was thoroughly enjoyable. We ordered the Bresaola as a starter, and I have to say it was really good; the flavor was completely spot on and definitely a major highlight of the meal. For the main event, we had the Margherita pizza. It was undeniably tasty and well-prepared, though I did feel there was a little bit too much tomato sauce for my personal taste. Thankfully, despite the very generous amount of sauce, it didn't make the base soggy at all, which is always a significant risk with heavily sauced pizzas. The crust maintained a nice texture throughout, so it was all good in the end. Where the visit fell a bit short, however, was on the service side. The staff were perfectly okay and polite when we managed to interact with them, but the floor management seemed to struggle with the outdoor seating. The terrace was quite full, which is entirely understandable for a busy day, but the servers hardly ever attended to the tables outside. We sat there for quite a while without being checked on, and because they didn't come to the terrace quite often enough, we simply didn't end up ordering any more drinks or extra food. It is always a shame when you are ready to spend a bit more but the opportunity just isn't there because of slightly inattentive service. Overall, it is definitely a nice spot with solid kitchen execution and great flavors, but they could really benefit from keeping a much closer eye on their terrace guests during those peak hours to ensure a more seamless and enjoyable dining experience for everyone sitting outside.

Ordered with the idea to get some pizza and enjoy the sun, its been an hour and 20 mins of waiting….. ps. The pizza arrived after 1h and 45 mins and it was coldddd
