Nettes und aufmerksames Personal. Man hat sich sehr wohl gefühlt. Essen und Getränke waren klasse. Jeder Gang wurde ausreichend erläutert. Sehr schönes Ambiente. Kommen gerne wieder.

Very disappointing and unacceptable experience at Sarban Utrecht. We came as a family and first asked about a table for 5. One staff member told us there was a waiting list, while another told us that the outdoor seating was first come, first served. Since there were empty outdoor tables and we were 4 at that moment, we sat outside. A staff member then approached us very rudely and kept insisting there was no table for 5, even after we explained that we were currently 4 and the fifth person may not join. He then kept changing the information: first it was a 30-minute wait, then 1 hour, then 2 hours, and finally he said there was no availability at all — even though there were clearly many empty tables. After leaving, I checked online and was able to make a confirmed reservation for 5 people only 10 minutes later. When we returned and showed the confirmation, the same staff member dismissed it and claimed it was for 10:00, even though the booking clearly showed 8:30–10:00 and the restaurant closes at 10:00. He then said he had not accepted it “from his side.” His attitude was extremely unprofessional. When I said we had a confirmed reservation and he should manage the situation, he replied, “Where do you want to sit, on my hair?” while pointing to his head. He then dismissed us, turned his back, and walked away without offering any solution. Because he completely ignored us, we eventually sat outside ourselves at an empty table and were served by other staff members, who were polite. However, the way this particular staff member treated us completely ruined the experience. At the end, while we were waiting in the hallway for a family member who was using the bathroom, the same staff member loudly shut the door and turned the music volume very high. It felt unnecessary, rude, and intentional. I am attaching a photo from the restaurant’s public Instagram account to identify the staff member involved, as I do not know his name and I am not sure whether he was actually the manager. I hope management takes this seriously. One staff member’s behaviour can completely ruin a customer’s experience. Based on how we were treated, I would not recommend this branch.

Food was rly nice, a bit spicy, but very tasty! We've never tried afghan food before but our amazing waitress Irene navigated us perfectly through the Afghan wonders that the restaurant has to offer. We recommend!

Amazing food and really friendly, attentive staff!! The pumpkin starter was my favorite and the chicken main was the most tender chicken I’ve ever eaten. I’d recommend the pistachio and Afghan deserts. Definitely recommend going to this place!!
