An homage to what is undoubtedly one of the finest dining experiences not only in Amsterdam, but anywhere in the world. Having dined at many Michelin-starred restaurants across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, few have left as lasting an impression as Showw. It sets itself apart with remarkable confidence, originality, and execution. The restaurant describes its cuisine as comfort food, and that is precisely what it delivers—comfort food designed by an artist. I opted for the 6-course menu, and not a single dish missed the mark. Every course was thoughtful, beautifully executed, and showcased a remarkable balance of creativity and flavour. The service was exceptional throughout, with remarkable attention paid to dietary requirements, making the experience feel both personal and seamless. The sparkling tea pairing complemented the menu beautifully and was one of the most enjoyable non-alcoholic pairings I have experienced. The lobster, langoustine, red mullet, and lamb were all outstanding—flawlessly cooked, beautifully balanced, and packed with flavour. The dessert was the perfect finale, vibrant, refreshing, and memorable. For anyone visiting Amsterdam, Showw is an absolute must. Michelin currently awards it one star, but in my view, this restaurant is operating at a level far beyond that. Having experienced many Michelin-starred restaurants around the world, I would place Showw among the very best. Overall: 9.5/10.

Overall the dining experience was very enjoyable, the staff polite and the atmosphere modern. I unfortunately do not tolerate spicy food well; when asked about any intolerances I mentioned this and asked if any dishes on the tasting menu were spicy and if these could be substituted. I was told only the sauce of the first dish was a bit spicy, and when ordering I mentioned it again and asked for it to be substituted. This was done, and it tasted great. The third dish came and it had a spicy curry sauce. Due to this, I did not touch it at all. When collecting our plates, a different waiter noticed and asked what happened, I explained it was due to the spicy sauce and he apologized and said he’d make it up to us. Unfortunately, the rest of the night passed and no such thing was done (which one would expect at a Michelin star). It’s quite unfortunate and disappointing to have to completely skip 1 out of 5 dishes that I am paying for, when I had mentioned it from the beginning, and even more disappointing when we were told that they would make it up to us and this never happened. At this price point I would expect different behavior and a better reaction. Going to a Michelin starred restaurant is so much about the experience, and this sadly somewhat ruined that for us.

It is one of the very best Michelin restaurants in Amsterdam. The attention to details, service, and the presentation of the food items — all are World Class. The preparations even for the vegetarian menu were excellent, fresh and highly innovation. The wine pairing with each course is a must and is in fact a very unique experience. Great attention to details and customer service is paid every step of the way. They even open the bathroom door for you and move the chair when you come back to the table. This type of innovation in food preparations and details to customer service is not seen even in Michelin3 restaurants. This restaurant is of World Class and should be awarded the highest level . Highly recommend this for anyone visiting Amsterdam

We hebben afgelopen zaterdag gegeten bij Showw. Een fantastisch restaurant, ruim opgezet maar niet te kolossaal. Rustige achtergrond muziek zo dat je makkelijk een gesprek kan voeren. De bediening is informeel, los en speelt in op de sfeer aan tafel. De sommelier is echt top, enthousiast en gepassioneerd. Het eten heerlijk een ware smaaksensatie.
