My experience with MRK Indian Super Market has been extremely disappointing. I recently purchased a box of Alphonso mangoes for around €18, only to find that every single mango in the box was spoiled. Unfortunately, this is not the first time this has happened. In fact, this is the second time within the same month that I have faced the same issue. If one or two mangoes had gone bad, I could have accepted the loss. But when the entire box is spoiled, and the same problem occurs repeatedly, it becomes unacceptable. When I raised the issue with the shop owner, the response was disappointing. I was told, “We don’t know, and we can’t see inside the mangoes. No one else has reported this issue. This happens repeatedly with Alphonso mangoes, so we warn everyone before they purchase. Unfortunately, we cannot provide a refund. It’s only a matter of €15–18.” What I found contradictory was that he first claimed that no one had reported the issue, and then immediately stated that this problem happens repeatedly with Alphonso mangoes. If it is a known recurring issue, why continue selling the product without proper quality checks? Also, I was never warned about any such risk before making my purchase. The most disappointing part was the attitude that “it’s only €15–18.” Every euro matters to customers. The amount may seem small to the seller, but customers work hard for their money and expect to receive products that are fit for consumption. After sharing my experience with others, I found that at least two more people had encountered the same problem. This clearly suggests that the issue is not isolated. A responsible retailer should take ownership when a known issue keeps occurring. If spoiled Alphonso mangoes have been a recurring problem, the shop should have stopped sourcing them from the same supplier or taken stronger quality control measures. Instead, nothing appears to have changed, and customers continue to bear the loss. In the end, the supplier faces no consequences, the retailer faces no consequences, and the customer is left paying for spoiled products. That is simply not acceptable customer service.

Often sells products with stickers on it and expiry products when caled was not ready to take feedback and didn’t to anything to return the products. Do your work better.

Excellent Indian grocery store in Leyweg. Twice a week or more you get fresh vegetables and fresh Indian sweets. Reasonable prices and home delivery available. Indian Festival specific stuff also made available
