Customer Tip: If you are worried about the freshness of meat or fish, simply check the expiration dates yourself before buying. For imported packaged goods, you can safely rely on the dates. A Constructive Approach: If I ever spot an expired item on a shelf—here or in any other grocery store—I don't take secret photos to complain online later. I simply hand it to an employee so they can remove it immediately. It’s basic human behavior to look out for one another and help the store keep things fresh for the next customer. 👥 Staff, Communication, and Culture Culture vs. Customer Service: Some reviewers mention the staff seeming "cold." Having traveled to Ukraine, I can say this is often just a cultural difference, not rudeness. Additionally, many employees are dealing with the heavy stress of having left their home countries due to the ongoing situation there. Everyone has good and bad days. My Experience: I speak Ukrainian and Russian, and whenever I ask the staff for recommendations, they are incredibly helpful and welcoming. While mistakes happen everywhere, I personally have never had an issue with payments here. As customers, it's always a good habit to double-check our receipts at the register anyway. Flexibility: I've read complaints that staff won't split items, but today I needed a smaller piece of watermelon because even a third of it was too big. The staff cut it in half for me without any hesitation. 🍢 The Best Part: Authentic Ready Food! The store recently started making fresh shashlik, and it was delicious. They mentioned they will soon expand their selection of ready-made Eastern European dishes. I am really looking forward to this, because who better to cook this food properly than the people who grew up eating and making it? Final Verdict This shop gives you a genuine taste of the culture—both through its food and its environment. If you go in with an open mind, look at expiration dates for peace of mind, and treat the staff with kindness, you will have a great experience. I highly recommend giving them a chance, especially for their upcoming ready-to-eat food!
