A beautiful, stylish place full of personality — it matched my favourite colour palette perfectly. ✨ The menu options are amazing, and the presentation of the dishes shows great attention to detail. Everything looked beautiful and, most importantly, tasted delicious. I really enjoyed the service: the girls were polite, friendly, and attentive. The prices are also great considering the quality offered. A wonderful experience. I highly recommend it and would definitely come back again! ☕✨

A recent morning visit to Loulou in Purmerend for breakfast left much to be desired, ultimately falling short of expectations for a pleasant start to the day. The initial impression of any morning establishment is heavily influenced by the efficiency and attentiveness of the service, especially given that breakfast diners often expect a brisk and welcoming pace. Unfortunately, our experience began with an unacceptably long wait just to secure a server's attention and place our initial order. The staff appeared disengaged and disorganized, creating a frustrating delay before we could even request a simple round of morning beverages. When the breakfast dishes finally arrived at the table, the culinary experience was entirely underwhelming. The food was far from amazing, lacking the fresh, vibrant flavors or careful preparation one anticipates from a dedicated morning menu. The execution felt uninspired and completely average, failing to stand out in any meaningful way. If the menu had been priced to reflect a standard, casual neighborhood cafe, this mediocre quality might have been easier to overlook. However, the food at Loulou is severely overpriced for what is actually delivered to the plate. This issue of inflated pricing extended directly to the beverage options. Simple morning drinks, which are typically straightforward, were disproportionately expensive. This added significantly to the final bill without offering any corresponding quality, specialty sourcing, or unique appeal. Paying premium prices inherently sets a high expectation for both exceptional food and seamless service, yet this venue failed to deliver on either front. The combination of sluggish morning service, completely unexceptional dishes, and an exorbitant check makes it difficult to recommend. There is simply no justifiable value for the money spent at this establishment.

A lovely place in Purmerend. We tried the Apple pie and the homemade lemonade, both were excellent. Everything we ordered tasted fresh and well prepared. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The indoor seating is cozy, but the terrace is definitely the highlight on a nice day, making it a great place to relax and enjoy your meal. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our visit. Prices are slightly above average, but the quality of the food and the overall experience make it worth it. I would happily visit again.

Afgelopen zomer hier met twee personen even wat lekkers gehaald. De match en ijskoffie en cheesecake waren oké. Was erg prijzig, maar de zaak zelf en sfeer was erg mooi en luxe. Je kan lekker zitten op het terras buiten.
