Kyatcha Enterprises

Last January, my friend and I had the pleasure of dining at Kyatcha in The Hague; a refined Japanese restaurant that beautifully blends authentic Japanese cuisine with creative Western influences and modern culinary techniques. From the very beginning, the experience felt thoughtfully curated. The menu offers an impressive variety of dishes, ranging from elegant small starters to premium sushi creations. We started with oysters, wagyu gyoza, and the crispy rice tuna tartare, which was undoubtedly our favourite. The balance of textures and flavours in that dish alone perfectly reflected the restaurant’s attention to detail and creativity. For the main course, we enjoyed a selection of premium sushi and sashimi. Each piece had its own distinct character, made even more memorable by the freshness and quality of the ingredients. Kyatcha also offers an extensive selection of grilled dishes and vegetarian options, which we are definitely looking forward to trying during a future visit. What makes Kyatcha even more interesting is the meaning behind its name. The name is a stylized interpretation inspired by the Japanese word “kyatcha,” meaning “catcher.” It symbolizes the restaurant’s commitment to sourcing the freshest ingredients while simultaneously capturing the attention and imagination of its guests. Their visually stunning and artfully presented plates truly bring that philosophy to life, making the name feel perfectly aligned with the overall experience they offer. And lastly, their cocktails are absolutely worth trying as well. Sophisticated, well-balanced, and the perfect complement to the food. I highly recommend this cozy yet elegant restaurant to anyone visiting The Hague and looking for a memorable dining experience.

De sfeer en het interieur waren ok. Het kleine restaurant gaat sluiten en word waarschijnlijk om die reden niet meer opgeknapt. De bediening was bijzonder vriendelijk, behulpzaam en attent, waardoor we ons wel echt welkom voelden. Het eten vonden we heel erg tegenvallen voor wat we ervoor hebben betaald. De gerechten waren niet slecht, maar voor de prijs die we betaalden had ik er meer van verwacht. De smaken waren niet bijzonder en de porties waren erg klein. Aanrader: Hotate Guratin

Amazing food, however I feel like the portions were quite small. The food is delicious and everything you will eat will feel like a flavor explosion but go with a big pocket. We spend almost 200€ and left hungry to be honest!

Incredible dining experience last night with friends. Outstanding food and a wide variety on offer as well. Great (also non-alcoholic) cocktail selection available and very attentive - but not overdone - service. Beautifully decorated restaurant with private feeling booths in the back. Would definitely recommend - thank you!
