Gauchos Den Haag

Voor ons nooit meer. Wij zijn aan het terras komen zitten. Komt een korte blonde dame op leeftijd zeer onvriendelijk. Ik quote citeer. Ik ben de terras aan het opruimen. Het mag wel wat vriendelijker. Had zekers anders gekund. Ik werk zelf in de horeca. Zo praat ik niet tegen mijn gasten. U had ook kunnen zeggen. Ohw sorry helaas zijn wij al gesloten. Wij hadden nog goede dingen gehoord. Maar het maakt niet uit. Na deze onvriendelijke ervaring. Heb ik er geen zin meer in. En wat ik heel frappant vond. We hebben een rondje gelopen. We kwamen door de straat lopen. En het terras stond er nog. Heel erg jammer dit want de zaak ziet er gezellig uit. Jammer van deze ervaring.

Saturday 28th March we, two Dutch from Amsterdam visited Madurodam and Scheveningen, and as there is unfortunately no Gauchos anymore in Amsterdam (for over 10 years we have eaten once a month Gauchos at least), we were looking forward to eat at Gauchos again. We entered at 18.30 the restaurant, there was a line, and heared several times: "I'm sorry, but if you have no reservation, the next tables available are around 20.30". When we told the hostess our story, she said wait I shall see what I can do. She made some space at the rear side and we were thrilled to have a table. The bread was on the house and we had the perfect dinner. At the end we asked if it was possible to have our dessert which we always had in Amsterdam and which is not on the menu. Especially for us, they made it This was a superb experience, an excellent hostess (unfortunately I forgot her name), and all the staff of that night were extremely friendly. 6 stars out of 5. Highly recommend and next time we will book a table. The spare ribs (I am not allowed to eat red meat anymore) and rib-eye of Gauchos are the best.
