This is for sure the best place for coffee in Haarlem (and beyond). They clearly know what a good specialty coffee is, and recently they also started serving matcha and it immediately blew my mind. Forget about cheap industrial beverage, you will be served with high quality product for a reasonable price. Staff is always friendly.

High quality coffee! Their large cappuccino is truly a large cappuccino. Their oatmilk is great. Their service is good and always friendly. Great atmosphere inside and outside, because the light is great and the spot is great to watch people. As an introvert you can also read a book... or work there. Great place in Haarlem!

Coffee Habits is an absolute standout. The cold brew is flawless — perfectly presented with a single ice cube, ideal temperature, and a taste so smooth it highlights just how outstanding the beans are. The black Sanremo espresso machine anchors the space, clearly the centerpiece of a serious specialty coffee operation. The shop has a warm, welcoming energy — high ceilings, exposed beams, and a well-curated shelf of beans and bottled drinks that gives the place real character. It’s easy to see why it’s packed with locals soaking up the sun on the patio out front; there’s a genuine neighborhood feel here, the kind of spot people clearly return to again and again. The handwritten “Beans We Be Brewing” board is a nice touch, showing a rotation of thoughtfully sourced single-origin options — Ethiopian naturals, red bourbon anaerobics — the kind of detail that signals real coffee craftsmanship, not just another espresso stop. Every element, from the drinks to the space to the way the counter and shelving are put together, shows genuine attention to detail. This is the kind of coffee shop that’s rare when traveling: consistently excellent, unpretentious, and clearly run by people who care about the craft. Highly recommended for anyone in the area looking for exceptional coffee in a great atmosphere.
